Automated Weekly & Monthly Reports

The report engine pulls four types of ground-truth data: (1) Every Check-In made by team members during the period — including progress deltas, notes, confidence levels, blockers, and next-week plans. (2) All KPI values that were updated, with start, current, and target values. (3) Stagnant Key Results — goals with zero updates in the last 7 days, flagged as risks. (4) An organization-wide weighted progress average calculated across all active objectives.

Weekly reports analyze the last 7 days of execution data; Monthly reports analyze the last 30 days. The AI adjusts its synthesis accordingly — weekly reports focus on immediate momentum and next-week priorities, while monthly reports identify broader trends, cumulative progress, and longer-term strategic patterns. Both use the same structured output format.

The backend runs a database query that identifies all active Key Results that were created more than 7 days ago but have received zero check-ins in the last 7 days. These 'stagnant Key Results' are explicitly labeled and fed to the AI as risk signals. The AI then synthesizes them into the 'Blockers and Risks' section, explaining the potential impact of each neglected goal.

Yes. Every generated report is permanently saved to the database with its timeframe, type (weekly/monthly), and generation timestamp. The Reports dashboard includes a dropdown selector that lets you browse all previously generated reports for the selected type. This creates a searchable archive of your organization's execution history.

The AI is explicitly instructed to synthesize, not summarize. Its system prompt says: 'Explain the so what. Group related progress into strategic narratives.' This means if three different Key Results in product development advanced, the AI doesn't list them separately — it synthesizes them into a single strategic win called 'Product Expansion' and explains why the collective progress matters.

The Executive Summary is a concise 2-3 sentence paragraph that captures overall organizational momentum, major achievements, and critical shifts during the reporting period. It is designed to be the one paragraph an executive reads if they have 30 seconds — giving them instant clarity on whether the organization is on track.

Absolutely. The reports are grounded in real system data — not AI-generated assumptions. Every insight is derived from actual check-in values, user-reported blockers, KPI measurements, and calculated progress deltas. The AI's role is to synthesize this ground-truth data into readable narratives, not to fabricate information.
